We always use that term when running on the dyno. There are times my junk will hit fast when boost come on, so we install the trunk monkey ... open the hatch and have a couple of friends sit back there to hold the car down.

Yesssss...dyno tuning fact is almost as much fun as fiction! In another run on another dyno, that twin turbo Banana Yellow mid engined 304 cube EFI V8 car made 856.7 hp with 18.56 pounds of boost and three Trunk Monkeys. The fourth guy was a spotter.
In a car jacking, a Trunk Monkey panic button operating a non fictional tire iron wielding monkey is my idea of a good time.
