That hood ornament is to die for

Could have done a lot better on the interior....

Are you kidding me? That is one ugly car, now if I saw it at a show I would have to look at it.

I like to watch the show even though I think most of it is scripted.... however, I also think they are hacks. Pretty much everything they build is hastily "thrown together" with little thought put into the details... then they plaster everything with Gas Monkey graphics. I think they have the talent to build nice cars if they wanted to, but won't be taken seriously in the automotive community until they start putting out better quality. Hell, not bragging, but I'd put any of the cars I've built up against them any day of the week.... and I do it just for fun in my back yard garage!!

Wow $16K is what the bids are up to, nothing special save the TV personality.

My guess is you could build it for much less, and with a real paintjob.

My favorite piece is the middle bolt holding the gauges in on the passenger side.. Definitely not paying for the car or the quality, but for the Gas Monkey name.

I like the concept but hate the Chrome wrap and the hideous graphics. If they finished off the interior, stripped off the wrap, and gave it a show quality paint job, they may get that kind of money for it.
