Looks good! its coming along! Where are you planning on racing it?
Maybe MIR, but since car is in PA. I will probably go to one of their tracks first.
Beautiful Car. hats off to your tech/painter, he has an awesome skill set indeed to be able to fabricate, weld, do body and paint, interior and mechanical, plus all the rest. You are blessed to have found someone that good these days. Indeed a sweet ride. Almost too pretty to race. Since it is a race car, I get the paick in seats. That said, I would have used something that is more in league with the cars stunning looks inside and out. Race only seats never look quite right to me, not to mention I have too much chest and body to fit in them comfortably. I like the look of Corbeau seats, they look more refined but retain comfort and function for racing.
When you cut the floors and added internal subframe connectors, did you lose a noticeable amount of floor space and headroom? The 10 point cage with removable entry was a great choice, along with deleting the rear seat. Do you have an approximate wet weight minus the driver? I'm guessing your at or under 2800 pounds with all the fiberglass panel replacements.
I'm looking for a 85 5.0 Capri 5 speed which I plan to do many of the upgrades and mods you have done for your car. This thread has given me a lot of ideas. Can't wait to see it done!
