The car is blue in color with blue int. 5.0 auto trans. This car was last in driven while it was in service at Albany state. They were given the car after GSP was done with it in 1998. It was sold at auction again in 2003 and not been on the road since.

looks like the rear bumper had been dented, or is that the way it was bolted up?
man that car would be awesome if it wasnt an automatic, nice track car. and definitely needs a complete paint job to be streetable. po-po around here wouldnt even allow that car on the street without a big ticket or worse yet..impoundment. Cars like this I wish I were a body and paint guy.

Would it be so bad to swap in a 5 speed? Is it an effort or an originality issue?

Conversions are highly frowned upon and significantly devalue the car. No big deal if you were to keep it, but, would be a little tougher to sell down the road. To do a conversion right, costs decent money, most arent done correctly. Atleast the ones I've seen.

I both agree and disagree with you on this point. I agree that a correctly done 5 spd. swap is somewhat costly and not all of them are done right. And I agree about a transmission swap hurting a car's value if you intend to do a 100% stock resto.

I do think that 5 spd. foxbodies are much more desirable than auto cars to most of the people buying these cars. It can actually help sell a car, regardless of whether it is an original or a swap. Especially if the owner is more interested in driving the car than doing a numbers matching, bone stock resto.

Terrible track car!! Please rebuild it or let it go to someone who will! I see so many SSPs end up on the track and I just cant understand it. I have an 87 Tx DPS car as well. I would love to have that car to go with it. Not sure that I would give up my 85 Regatta but Its not out of the question. Hmm???

Ill say this if I can't find a trade for this one. I will restore this car some time next year.
It takes so much time and the costs are high to do it right. I have already collect several Nos parts for this car.
