Default North Texas Four-Eyed BBQ - the formative stages

We have seen an increasing number of North Texas/Southern Oklahoma members of late, so the time might be right for a North Texas Four-Eyed BBQ. I have been inspired by the fantastic Four-Eyed events that have been taking place in the Northwest for a while now.

I am presently selling my house in McKinney and looking to move to ten or so acres in the Melissa/Anna/Van Alstyne area. If I can pull this off by the Spring, I could host such an event without any kind of parking problems.

For now, please speak up if you might attend such an event so that I can gauge interest.

JUST the NW? pffft you haven't been to an event until you have done the Fox-a Que

Hope you can pull one off Robert, it's a lot of fun but also a lot of work as the 2 big guys doing them on the NW and NE coasts have said.

Haha, no disrespect was intended. The NW was just the one that came to mind.

As for it being a lot of work, I would half-ass it just like I do everything else. "Go park in that field. Here's a hamburger. The beer's over there. Thanks for coming."

Sounds like you have a solid plan to me. Only thing I'd change is adding cheese to that burger

No Four Eye anymore (I still love'em), but I'll definitely attend...in something.

Well, hells bells. It looks like this is not going to happen. My house in the suburb did not sell after six months on the market, which pretty much precludes me from buying the place on ten acres.

Selling a house while still living in it totally sucks (this was the first time that I had tried to sell a place without vacating it first) and I really do not want to take another stab at it for a while. If anything changes and it looks like the event can take place, I will be sure to post it here.

Please do. I'm still game for this.

Sorry to hear you can't find a buyer, but it definetly seems like a buyers market right now. Hopefully you will get some good news when you put it back on the market in the future.
