would like to know if the fr500 wheels fit with no issues or mods to be done.

My better half drives a 98 mark viii special edition. They are a great car. The lug bolt patern is 5 x 4.25 not 5 x 4.5
The MN12/FN10, '86-'07 Taurus variants, all had the 5 x 108 pattern.
The MN12 cars can be converted to the more common(Mustang 5 lug) 5-114, IIRC requires replacement of the front hubs and discs with SN95 Mustang V6/GT parts, and rear hubs with Cobra IRS units. The rear caliper is a bit of a challenge AFAIK no other car uses the same offset and diameter as the MN12 rear rotors.
The fronts can be converted to 13" cobras using the rotors and calipers.
so will the fr500 wheels fit on the lincoln LS platform since its the same as the mustang without any mods?
LS was the successor to the VIII, I believe Lincoln kept the 5-108 BP on this car as well.
LS, Thunderbird, and Jaguar S type use the DEW98 platform.
SLA and IRS
Mustang uses the S197 platform.
McPherson strut and live axle 3link.
Not much interchanges between the two outside of fasteners. The firewall of the S197 might be derived in part from the DEW98, but that's about it.
Mark VIII and LS are both 5x108 for sure. I have owned both.
