Looks like rock auto saves the day again. Ordered a Carter#344005, and applicable gaskets for the job. Wish me luck!

Also, you need to check this with a meter, not the test light. Ground wire on the meter to black on the TPS. Confirm 5V on the orange wire. Green wire should be .95ish at idle and 5V at WOT.

Rechecked it as per your instructions, .45v at idle, .95 at WOT, I'd say that's bad.

Still haven't received the sensor. I installed snow tires and replaced the t.stat at work yesterday. I also took the cheapo MBC off and now it no longer stalls.

I have also ordered an LA3 and large vam.

Question: do I really need to swap to a square manifold and add an intercooler with my setup, or will the brown tops, roller cam, large vam and LA3 all work nicely with slight boost increases (no higher than 15psi, if that's a safe number)

Thanks again everyone, you guys are awesome.

I ran my car for years with the LA3 and related parts without an intercooler. It worked fine, but then the engine was on it's last legs too. As long as you run premium fuel, and keep the boost sensible I'd expect it would be fine. The only negative of adding an intercooler is money, there's really no reason not to do it as long as you can afford the parts.

Couldn't tell you on the intake, I started with the square intake.

That's what I figured. Like I said, I’m not gonna go nuts with the boost knob. Some say my inline early manifold is more likely to send the comp false alarms on the knock sensor, but at least I have a roller set up, that should be a bit quieter and hopefully negate that issue.

Okay, so i just picked up a square manifold, LA3 and a Large VAM.

I'm going to need a later EGR tube now, i know from swapping to an E6 exhaust mani w/ the tube still attached, they are different.

I'm interested in porting this manifold before i put it on,could anyone direct me to some info on what areas i should concentrate on? i've heard of Knife edging and gutting.. not sure what they mean by it though. I should have ported the head i had before i sent it to be built, but it was in such good shape, i didn't want to risk damaging it or creating a problem area.
