    Default Motor mounts and six cylinder K member DON'T SEEM TO JIVE

    I am going to use the six cylinder K MEMBER modification to mount my Ford 302 onto but I have a problem the motor mounts that are required to do this modification (FORD F-150)

    And this is the way the motor mount configuration is on the 302 block


    Any ideas on how I can overcome this? I want to use the 6 cylinder K member as I am on a very limited budget.

    fyi the engine came out of a 1985 Ford LTD SQUIRE WAGON

    Remove the mount in your picture from the engine. The truck mount is shown upside-down in the illustration, it will bolt to your engine.

    You have to trim the frame stands in the car, and elongate the holes for those mounts to slip in.

    Edit: That picture says 78-83 F150...
    We used mounts from much later model than that.
    It was a 96 F250 5.8 mount set. However they were identical to the mounts in my 90 F150 5.0...

    It's hard to tell from an upside down illustration, but those mounts appear pretty much the same.
