My Pace Car is # 483431. I never had it checked to determine its number status. Its a V-8 Automatic. I still haven't gotten a Marti report but hope to soon. How does this number sit in the stats? Thanks in advance.

Is it a San Jose or Dearborn car? The second character of the vin will tell you. F=Dearborn, R=San Jose

It is a Dearborn car.

8819 is the highest Dearborn vin that our local statistician (Foxchassis) has in his books, unless some new information has been given to him? Unfortunately the vin number doesn't correspond to when the car was actually run down the assembly line. Meaning a lower numbered vin may have been built after a higher number. Apparently ford did things in batches that would minimize changes to the line, so if the line was set up to build cars with A/C (for example) they would run off all those cars in a group, regardless of what vin number each car had. I would like to think that Ford didn't do that with the Pace Car because they hyped the fact that each car would have a number for "collectibility purposes" but you know they did. Kinda makes the numbers worthless IMO.

Highest Dearborn I have in the database is 7823. I think that is pretty close to the end.

8819 was never verified so I took it out. I think that was a way too high anyway.

I wish I could find out how close my vin was to the last assigned for San Jose.
