    Default $500 craigslist 88gt

Found this on craigslist about 40 mile from home. Seller was asking $500. After work saturday i went to look at it. Pics in his ad looked real promising but opon inspection it was a rougher than i hoped. I offerd $300 and he didnt hesitate in excepting it( dang it should have said $200). Got up early sunday morning to go get it. Loaded up the usual just incase tools and my eng hoist. Had to make pit stop to buy a new batt for the old chevy(tow rig). I hardly ever drive it, just when my little toyota pickup isint enough truck. Anyway that battery lasted 10 years.

Had to use hoist to pickup the back of the car. The rear axl was just laying under it. The seller (nice guy just got in over his head) said he put the hitch on it so he could move it into his garage. Loading it worked out pretty well. I was thinking it would be a pain. Hear is some pics with nose and plastics just proped n wired up. Also note the hitch with the jack holding the car for pics.

Most of the interior is gone(black) they did leave the dash ,console, Motorsport 160 speedo and lots of the small trim pieces. Came with the cowl section rad suport and extra gt front fender extentions.

That's a great deal, congrats. That is one of my favorite aero paint schemes too...dark blue, TuTone, and light blue tape stripe...very nice! No cheese graters either, score.
    Cheers!

What are your plans for it? looks like a great deal to me. There was no black interior available until 1990 so that is either swapped in or painted. The wheels alone are probably worth at least most of what you paid if not all.

    Nice score.

    Nice score.
I just assumed it was black. Must have benn a swap or just leftovers from others. Didnt know about the untill 90 thing. Only thing left inside is the headliner and visors and there black. Its been hit in the pass door rocker area. I hope the q panel is ok i can see broken filler on the rear of the rocker. They replaced the door and beat the rocker back out from the inside. The cowl is bent and windshield is gone, you can guess how that happend. Eng compartment is completly striped bare. The roof is rusted and saging around the sunroof. Looks awsome from ten feet. I feel bad but i cant put the amount of money it would take just to make it a driver. I am going to hord all the the sheet metal and probebly craig the aero bits.

The GT looks a bit worse for wear, but I think you scored pretty well for the price! The parts alone are worth what you paid.

    Cool Score!
