    Default Mach 1 Chin Spoiler

Have any of y'all used a chin spoiler on your 4 eyed cars? I remember seeing a Silver/Grey 85-86 Hatchback with a chin spoiler on it on a forum and couldnt remember if it was this forum or not.
I was going to get a set of 2" drop springs and that chin spoiler, but i am not sure on how itll fit. Anybody used a chin spoiler or anything? Just want a lip, feel like itd look mean!

    Then you want this: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...e-Chin-Spoiler

    Or this: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...1-Chin-Spoiler

You will have to modify it to fit your front bumper cover. Other members have done it and it looks good. The only issue IIRC, is the fitment around the wheel opening. IIRC, the chin spoiler wants to curl a bit or something. Nothing major, but something to think about.

    Good Luck!

A friend recently added one to his 2003 Mustang. Looks great! Since then, I've been planning to make one for my 83. Others have made spoilers using the "rubber" base moulding they sell at hardware/home stores. I think it's some kind of plastic, but it's bendable and has a curved edge. You might have to do some reinforcing with metal to mount it and get it to stay in shape.

I recently saw an SVO with one of these universal foam rubber chin spoilers (see eBay link below). It looked really good and was flexible enough to just deform and bend back if you park too far over a curb. The guy who had it on his car fabbed up a couple of little aluminum brackets at the front corners to make it hold it's shape better at the tight bend. It seems to be slightly smaller than the Mach 1 chin spoiler and I thought it actually looks better.

My only concern with the ebay linked one is the size of the lip, like my car isnt too low yet, so i want decent lip. I feel like the Mach 1 lip would be worth the extra coin at this point. Just got a new job (50 hrs a week) so the car WILL be staying and getting some extra bitties like this. :-] about time
But thank you for all the help! I will make my decision in the next couple of days on which id prefer.

SVTWannabe was the first person to post up how he installed a Mach1 chin spoiler. Unfortunately, the pics are gone. He's been gone a while, as have I .
