Default '79 coupe gonna need some love

Just picked this up a few months ago just in time for FL to start getting hot again to kill my motivation.

original 2.3/C3 jade green w/ black vinyl interior. 1 of 8.

it's shame to see it in this shape. we'll see if i stay motivated enough to save it. i already paid too much to aquire it so...

Welcome to FEP. Pics of vehicle saves are mandatory. Unless you're too busy saving her.

I think that it has boatloads of potential ---- and (IMO) there's no reason to be embarrassed of it. Just think about how great it will look someday ---- and how much fun you can have with it in the meantime. Big thumbs up to you!

Looks fine to me and much better than mine. I like seeing pics of projects as well as nice cars.

My car is 5 different colors so don't feel bad:

Vehicle owners get more respect from me when it is built not bought built...
My vehicles hideous; but when I get it done the way I want, it'll be the best in my opinion obviously; if others don't like it, then owell. It is my turd lol. I will polish it all I want.

Does it have the original trunk lid? Mine was too rusted to save. The 79's are flat along back unlike the 80+ where they have kind of a duck tail to them. It's most noticable above the lock. 79 = flat, 80+ = curved.

unfortunately not. it actually is missing the lock mechanism too. a few things weren't disclosed to me upon purchasing the car, like how none of the keys match any of the door locks or glovebox.

just one more thing to add to the list. (locks)
