Default Are the round 79-81 Cobra interior door panel emblems made of gold?

Must be because I was bidding on a lot of 4, pretty rough looking 79-81 Cobra door panel emblems on ebay hoping to get one good one out of the lot. Needless to say I was outbid by about $80. Are these that hard to find? I just started looking and I am a little shocked at how much these went for. I guess it's a supply and demand thing

They (Dash and Door emblems) are hard to find,Many of the Junk Yard Cobras (79-81) I saw many years back, already had those items stolen off. As more people Restore the Four eye Cobra's, the small items such as trim , and emblems will continuine to rise.

True, and in fact that is what hapened to mine. My car sat for years and the driver side door panel emblem was stolen and the dash emblem is half gone, someone pulled it off but they only got the clear top, what's left (bottom half) is still stuck on the dash. Lucky they left the passenger side door panel emblem.

Maybe someone will reproduce them soon.

I almost bid on those, but they were not nice enough in my opinion.

I emailed Matt at NPD to see if they can reproduce these.

I guess I finally got in on the ground floor of something.
I bought one off this site about 4 years ago for like $10.
    Thanks to whoever it was.
I was only missing the passenger door one.
edit: just looked through my PM's and it was $25+$5 shipping.
I dont miss the $30 but if the emblem wasnt there I would be missing it.

I was just passing through on this thread.
I have a set of cobra door and dash emblems.
    On a 1 - 5 (5 as good) I would rate these as 4-4.5
The post on the door emblems are all there and full no cracks, don't have the clips.
No scratches or gouges on the face, cobras are A1 conditions.
The only reason I rate them as a 4-4.5 is the clear plastic has a slight cloudyness.
I used some plastic polish and it was clearing the cloudyness.
Can send Hi-Res pics if needed.
    Send me a PM

I know this is an older thread, but have they started making repros for these door panel emblems? My car is missing one of them.

I had a nice complete set I got out of a 79 cobra I found at a local junkyard. I sold the set for $200 plus shipping. These are pretty hard to find.
    Cheers!
