She gets her first bath in probably 3 years!!!
And she gets the new wash mitt too!

    Final pics before bath

Ttops only leaked at the ends. With doors and glass, there shouldn't be any leaks. I pulled the ttops off afterwards and the weatherstripping was dry

    So much better!

For kicks, I tried buffing the paint out. I was shocked, and really mad at the previous owner for scrapping the doors and the fender. Car would have made a sweet original driver

Awesome! Glad to see another 83 Special! I was wondering the same thing about those vent handles, I had no idea they came with those, is it specific to a t-top car? That looks like a great start!

The vent handles are on non-ac cars. I have them in my 83 L.

Well guys... The car may have a heart again soon!!!!!!!!!!
A friend has an 84 5.0 block that I may be able to get running with some parts off my '90 motor And he had ttop doors and glass that I also bought today!!! $50 a door and the glass was thrown in (not literally ). He had one separate pane of glass and one in another ttop door he had. Just have to give the red door back once I get the window out.

I just need to find another right side 83 capri fender, might just take the one off my dads car if I don't find one for cheap. His car will be black anyway so I could just leave the holes for the air dam there and paint the fender black.

Looking to have the car running and driving sometime this summer if things go well

    Pictas!

(It's 84 counterpart is behind under the cover)

And the car I will get the motor out of if I choose to buy the motor. Will also get the body side moldings most likely as well

OK, so the guy dropped his price on the 351w, I really want it. We know it runs, the install job was cheap, so I'll have to fix that, but all the motor really needs is a tune up and exterior refinishing(ford blue, black spackle valve covers like the 60s shelby's, polished intake). I also have the bell housing and clutch.

This motor is an excellent runner! Low miles! just a little dingey looking from sitting. It has an Edelbrock Torker intake with an Edelbrock 600 carb and aircleaner/not in pic/.Ford Motorsport aluminum valvecovers. Dont know what else inside as I got it used.Again I started the engine and ran it for a while before I pulled it out of a Fast 83 Mercury Capri RS.The aluminum all needs to be cleaned and polished but is in good shape.I believe this engine was recently rebuilt you will too when you see the clean heads under the valve covers. It has stamped steel stock rockers. Call 541 821 95** thanks No emails

Matt (onetrackrider) was looking at getting it. Don't know if he got it or not. I think it fizzled or he is keeping secrets

Are those rims off a old police car? I like the way they look on BM.

    Yes they are!

They are the original wheels to my 85 CHP Mustang. They were the only rims I had sitting around that were 4 lug and held air. I am looking at getting another set for the BM. They are spendy though!

They look just as good on lowered coupes (like mine before I started the resto). I might drop the ride height on the Capri to where it has a slight rake to it.
