He is also going to need a line going to the BAP sensor.

Well, being speed-density, it's being used as a MAP sensor, rather than BAP, but yes. And the
line needs to be run directly from the tree on the intake manifold, not the one on the cowl.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna post a pic of the intake and see if you can get an idea of what is what. I can't figure out what is a vacuum and not. Also what size hose do I need?

As you can see, there are a lot of ports...and I have no idea what to block and what to use...

It seems there were a few different types of Explorer intakes over the years too.

Thanks, that makes sense. Now if I only knew what port to use on this intake...lol

There should be a nipple on the underside of the upper intake that is the same diameter
(1/4") as the nipple on the MAP sensor. Use a length of 1/4" ID vacuum hose to connect
the two directly together, with no tees.

Thanks man, so what I'm guessing is I'll need one line for the egr an line for the MAP a line for the brake booster and one for the fuel pressure regulator?

Vacuum line on the MAP if you are not converting to MAF.

That being said, if I were you I would convert to MAF when trying to run a stage 1 cam. Otherwise adding a cam adds little gain and is a waste of money.

The later explorer intakes do not have an act boss. I think its 94 or 95 up. I sodered equal gauge wire with my act and routed it behind the block with the iac wires and plugged the sensor into the side of my cai.
