The reason I sold my '81, my new 9L '86SVO

I have always liked & respected SVO Mustangs for many years now but honestly started really digging them in early 2011. So I put my '81 Mustang up for sale in hopes of finding the SVO of my dreams. In March, my '81 sold & the hunt began for it's SVO replacement. What I truly desired was a relatively low mile white (9L) 1986 model. Well last July, I came across a 36K mile, '86SVO in the color I wanted (white) that was listed in Texas' Craigslist.
I called the owner immediately & we struck a deal right away. What made it even sweeter was that the car was a rare 'Bi-wing' delete car which means it was ordered without the signature Charcoal 'Bi-wing' that most SVO's have. I sent the check & the car was mine.
Enter Jeff (twinvipers)... I must have beat him by a few minutes when I called the owner & bought the car because Jeff called also. Well Jeff wanted the car real bad as did I but money talks. He made an offer to me that I just could not refuse so as to let him buy the car instead of me. He did promise me that if he decided to let it go that he would offer it to me first. Well, Jeff is a man of his word & contacted me last week to see if I was still interested in owning this beautiful & rare SVO. I was blown away at the opportunity of getting this car finally & of course I agreed to buy it as soon as possible. I took delivery of it last night from his driver & now I am incredibly happy to say this SVO is MINE!!!

That is a kewl story...and good on Jeff! So when you run out of room, you know your blue car needs to come visit Houston where it originated. Has anyone run a Marti on the SVO to see where it came from? I would be way cool if it was also form Helfman...but then again, you might have to send both of them this way to visit.

My buddy, RIP Pen had a white '86 GT and his sister had a silver '86 SVO. We had some fun times in both car's, but was sad for me since I wasn't able to drive yet. Nothing cooler than seeing 2 brand new '86's go at it on our curvey backroads.
