    Default exhaust manifold stud ?'s

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a set of original exhaust manifold studs for the factory '85-'86 (and up) headers. I'm talking about the 4 that are on the flange that the h-pipe bolts to. I believe the thread is 12mm x 1.75, and they are about 2 3/4" long.

Anybody ever find replacements for these?

    TIA

    Fritz

I think I saw them at NAPA and I know I saw them at Summit Racing.

Well, I tried NAPA today. As usual, they were completely useless.

My Ford dealer can still get them, but I would like to find a source for them that doesn't cost so much.

The size is right, but my originals are about 65 or 70 mm long. Summit's are only 44mm.

I was quoted $4.50 each, and I thought that was a little high.

Well guys, thanks for the tips. I got the studs today from Ford and they are exactly what I wanted. Price came to just under $30 for a set of 4. I'm going to order more in the next few weeks to have them on hand before they're discontinued.

The $75 might have included the nuts. They are good to have on hand in case you need them. When looking at manifolds its worth paying $10 more for ones with nice original studs!
