1984 Predator Convertible - 2nd or 3rd Predator 'vert ever built!

I've been working on getting this car for about 3 years, and finally had the deal come together. It is 1984 Predator #107. According to documentation, this is either the 2nd or the 3rd predator convertible built. One of the cars built before this doesn't have notes as to whether it is a hardtop or a vert, and one is definitely a vert so that makes this one next in line. Pretty damn cool! This was actually built before they installed the style bars in the convertible, it is an extremely early car! 5 speed, red interior, and all original/unmodified. It did originally have an air dam, which is now missing. I've also included a picture of the car from when it was only a few years old.

Unfortunately I'm going to be making this car available for sale this next weekend. Timing is bad for me as I'm preparing to do a rotisserie restoration of my GT302R this fall as well as the full resto-mod on my '81 Cobra shortly after that. And the 4E Coupe still needs some interior and exhaust love as well, so there just isn't room for this one in the cards. But more details will be posted in the for sale section in about a week. MEDIUM CANYON RED

It is 2E, Light Canyon Red I believe. The Marti Report is ordered for it, so that will confirm everything.

2E = Bright Canyon Red Metallic

Both '84-only colors. (2A in '85 changed from Glow to Metallic)

Full details soon! The car buffed out extremely nicely, it's got a great lustre to it. Just a little more cleanup and then she's ready to go.

How many total convertibles were made? If I were selling it, that would be the number I would be advertising, over the fact that it's the second or third one made. Just over 300 Predators made, that's gotta make this car "one of not a whole lot".

This car seems to be getting nicer as the official day of sale of approaches!

11 convertibles built in '84, and I *think* 12 in '85. There might have been 2 or 3 total in '86. So taking the high numbers, 26 convertibles ever. And while I'm not the world's biggest convertible fan, something about cruising with the top down in an '84 Predator with the right exhaust system and that '65-6 Shelby scoop on the hood does sound appealing...
