Default My Capri Coyote Fox Swap.

Well I blew up the Drag race motor for the last time! Car was running 5.50's in the 1/8 and 8's in the 1/4. Burnt the #4 piston for the last time. Pulled it and sold all the parts.

Bought a Ford Racing 9.5 to 1 coyote crate engine. Stuck a t-56 behind it and tossed a Paxton Novi 2200 on it.

    From this.

    to this.

Svo 351 "W Block" 401 ci. Afr 225 box stock. Super Victor box stock. 12.5 comp. .730 solid roller. Made 750 to 800 on the N2o. Had a 400 shot on it with a progressive unit on it. fogger done by Steve Johnson.

Was doing all this with a digital 6 MSD box. Just could not keep #4 cool. Big concern with the corners on a SBF. I spent 8000 fixing the engine from 2010 race season. just to kill it in 50 rund in the 2011 season.

Now i am putting it back on the street. Will still race it but not as much. the class I was running in was getting out of hand. it took 5. teens just to hang!

Make sure your clutch arm doesn't interfere with the LT's, quicktime seems to have a nasty habit of putting that clutch arm at 9 O'clock.

The bellhousing is one that would be used on a 2003 Cobra with a 4.6.

Once that car made it into the 5's 1/8 and 8's 1/4 it felt all the same. The only reason it was faster was because my wallet was empty!!

Looks great.....I am thinking about putting that same motor in my 90 and either hitting it with a turbo or a Roush Blower, but that Paxton looks like a clean setup.

You running any accessories: Power steering, AC etc?

ohhh to have that kind of a budget for a toy. Very nice indeed. Amazing ride. And the fact that it's a Capri just adds even more.

No a/c or power steering here. Dont want to get to high class. Around here we call it "Dragging Knuckles" Dont want to get away from that.

The Roush blower was on the list and this has the updated front cover for a intake/whipple style blower. I had to install a 1 k-member spacer just to make room for this blower. It would take a cowl hood of some type. That stount sticks out kinda far!

Dragging Knuckles..>I like it. I only want to run Power Steering so I can run a Hydroboost brake booster...I think I figured out a way to run that in the place of the stock AC and still run the Roush, but time will tell.

I already have a decent size cowl on my 90 so it should fit..!!

Anyway...good luck with your setup...report back on the specifics of what power it makes, what you run with it and most importantly how you like it.
