Another 83 Capri for the registry

This post was also posted in the body shop and paint section where I mentioned the paint. It was pointed out by Foxchassis that there were no Capris in the registry for 83 or 84 with this paint code.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic but I couldn't find my camera and at 5:30 am it's not a priority I can get better pictures later if it is necessary. I was a little disappointed to find that the buck tag was missing. It appears to have the original radiator support since it is date stamped just like the rest of the car. Any other places where they may have hidden that?

As for the door label. What I think is important is

You can get a replacement tag from Marti Auto Works. I have mine pictured in this section (production numbers) under the thread name Marti Auto Door Tag. It's a pretty good looking replacement.

Glad you threw that out there. I was about to ask you about that. I asked about this a couple of years ago but received no answer. So Dark Cade Blue and Dark Academy Blue are the same?

1983 Car Shop Manual (Ford and Mercury) says:
5C = Dark Cadet Blue Metallic
B = Medium Blue

1983 Color & Trim Selections Books (Capri and Mustang both) say:
5C = Dark Academy Blue Metallic
B = Academy Blue

1983 Ford Mustang Fleet Buyers Guide says:

The buck tag shows cruise control? There are no controls and I don't see any evidence of it ever being removed. Is there anything that I can look for?

Unless I'm seeing things, I spot a "S" at the end of the fourth line (after 06 and HB). That S code indicates fingertip speed control.

There is an S there. Weird. I guess someone could've taken the cruise off for some weird reason.
