    This is of great help.

I was certain that the 140 hp and 165 hp CFI's used in the Tbrid and LSC, #7 and Mustang HO autos was Duraspark 3, and basically the same electronically as the 120 hp plodder used 1979-1985 CFI full size Fords. I understand that Ford only made a few really small changes to what was an excellent and often misunderstood EEC3 engine, with it not even being updated to the later EEC4 format for 5 whole years.

Is the 5.0 HO Duraspark 3 a TFI igntion system, or have I got my wires crossed?

I had my module go bad 2 weeks ago an went to jy an found 2 from v8 pick up an a tbird. Both work. I am doing the gm hei conversion to my old box has anyone done this conversion?
You gut the ford green mother board. An replace it with a gm hei inside the box. It looks stock but works better and doesn't die like the ford one.

Thank you for this post! I have the exact same issue on my 85 GT. I've been looking for the right pigtail and you provided that info. I'll make sure to follow your lead and splice these correctly! Thanks again!

Supposedly the "green' module that came on Ca FE trucks is the hottest spark and the one to get if you can find it.
Next best is the "red" module............
