IIRC, it seems like AMC used to have some cars (Matador?) with the rear tires moved forward. I'm looking for pics. Anyone else remember?

I think you are thinking of the AMX.

It was built by a guy in california a few years back who was big into gassers and AWB stuff. Freaking cool as hell, he did a huge article on exactly how you alter the wheelbase on a car like that. I want it... BAD.

Actually, I misled you with AMC ---- when I was thinking about Mopar.

Does this car not have its rear wheels moved forward?

Well, the Fairmont was built up in Car Craft by Steve Mangonte (SP?) over several issues a couple years ago.

The Mopars shown above were commonplace in the 60's and were usually built by the factory as that was the "technology" used by the Big-3 at the time. Do a google search, Mustangs, Falcons, etc were all altered.

Guess I just don't see the point of an altered unless your going for a 60s look with a 60s car. Just seems kinda useless now that we have other technologies to do the same thing and look better at the same time
