After a lot of years doing the sand drag thing, I decided to build a street car for doing some cruising and the occasional drag strip appearance too. I knew I wanted a notch back, but after looking at a ton of mustangs I wanted something different. After a lot of searching, behold, the '78 Fairmont.
29K original miles, nice body and a mostly redone interior. I'm going to try and stay to a budget on this build, at least thats what I told my wife so cheap and easy it is. I picked up a 302 from a '90 GT this weekend and I had a fresh c-4 from coan sitting around waiting for me to do something with.
It already had an '86 tilt column swapped in, so no issues there either. It is also a radio delete car, with no a/c either. I'm going for original paint on the outside to keep the "sleeper" look too.
