Hey Joe, did you have the glass guys use urethane when replacing the glass? Just curious, I believe I will go that route when it comes time for my mustang.

Thanks Dave - actually I wish my painting skills were good enough to skip the cut and buff, but there is some trash in the paint and some dry areas in the CC. It will look good when I'm done, but it's another long step in the process.

Yes, urethane. The glass guy said he can't buy the proper chemicals/primers to use the older methods.

Started buffing Sunday and tonight for a bit, still a long way to go but it's starting to take shape:

Ok, after many nights and hours of wet sanding / buffing, here it is:

And a few more pics after I got it back in the garage:

There are still a few small areas that need a bit more buffing, but it's 95% there.....

Thanks guys - I'm still chipping away at small parts / trim. New door handles went on, door locks, trim around the windshield, etc.

    Joe:

The word "Superlative" isn't even adequate to describe the Phoenix Like Rise of the Project Formerly known as "The Rotter Rescue"

That said I can't think of another word that even remotely does justice to your work and ultimate results.

So, started chipping away at the outside belt moldings - first I stripped all of the tape / glue from the moldings:

Here's the full set after a full clean up (don't mind the door moldings - I'll re-stripe those)

Next I painted the rear bumper (had to fix a few imperfections prior to paint):
