My driver quality 85 Hertz SVO, thinking about listing it on Ebay. Basically stock minus cold air and manual boost adjustment. It has 75K miles.Name: 15965626_1364574880262037_9024409253133844136_n.jpg

Just picked up the upgraded turbo from Charlie Evergreen. Great speedy service and the guy is a book of knowledge on these cars n turbos.

I ended the Auction. I decided to keep the car and completely finish it out. So look forward to seeing posts as I progress in the restoration! I guess I just had to get rid of the pre-restoration butterflys.

Bone stock. Installed NOS hood liner, belts, hoses, water pump, & Gates timing belt & tensioner. Refinished all hardware, pulleys, and brackets. Had new engine decal made (85.5), and made an Exide battery resemble a Motorcraft. Now on to the other side! Rebuild calipers and install new pads and hardware, resurface discs and detail, remove Koni's, evaluate and either have rebuilt or paint and reinstall with new decals, and detail all other front and rear suspension pieces. The car was undercoated at the dealer when new, so I'll keep that on the underside, just clean it up from the front wheel liners, suspension parts, etc. Re-spray with paintable 3M undercoat, then satin black over that. Got to do something these long winters!

Default Lets see your SVO Pics!

Ok...this car is killing me. Is the gap between the center lenses and the hood really as excessive as it looks. It bugs me and I've tried making adjustments to pull it up. If this is how it came from the factory then I'll live with it.

It looks a bit excessive to me too, but honestly I have seen others that have the same issue.

Do a quick Google search and you will see that some SVO's look just like that and then others have only a slight gap. I honestly can't say for certain what the issue is. I have to admit that it would drive me crazy and I would most likely end up cutting up the bumper cover/header panel and modifying until the gap was gone or at least minimized. I sure hope my 84 doesn't have the same problem now, or else I am in for a long battle! Good Luck!

It's about 50/50 from what I see. I will work on it. I'll loosen everything up and see if I can get the middle to pop up a little because it seems to sag a little in the middle.

That's odd. I replaced the headlights on my 86 last summer and there sure didn't seem like there was a lot of adjustment in the light. Can the header panel to rad support brackets be adjusted to raise the panel upwards?
