    Default Silver Twister II?

Found that picture on internet, I recall Silver T2 has sunroof. Do you think it is silver T2?

Doubtful. But really no way to tell with it being a B/W photo.

The letters and numbers on front plate is white, and look color on the front bumper, they look little dark than white letters and number on the plate.

The silver T2 has a sunroof, so that part is correct. The car appears to have metallic in it, and there is a fade difference between the nose and fenders, also typical of the original silver paint. I think it is the silver T2. Now I have to find it!!!

The arrow on the right is pointing towards the Overland Park Marriot where they had the promotion for the release of the 1985 Twister II's.

The arrow on the left is pointing to the location I believe that picture was taken with that Twister II. I believe this was one of the cars used in the original Promotion event. I will see if I can confirm that.

    Steve, you have sharp eyes!

All of 90 T2 was in Marriot for promotion event? And all of T2 went to dealership after the event and sold from there?

I use to work over by there so I knew that place looked familiar. I don't believe they had all 90 cars there for this promotion like they did on the original 70's promotion out at KCIR. I believe they did have all 90 cars out at the Claycomo plant distribution center though. Wish we could find a picture of that.

Do you think some T2 was sold before promotion events?

Foxchassis, 8 of white T2 hatchback, 3 of them are T tops, how many white T2 with sunroof?

No I think that was a dealer tag to get the car to the event. I do not believe the cars were trailered to the event.

Can't believe I didn't look at it until you guys asked, but that is correct...none of the 9Ls had a sunroof. Of the eight 9L hatchbacks made, three had a T-roof and the remaining five had a solid roof.

    Nice work guys!

I wonder if the original publisher has that photo in color. Sometimes they only print B&W for the issue but originals are in color. FoxChassis posted the link to "Modified Mustangs and Fords". Is that the original publisher of the picture or is it from a sister publication? It's worth sending an email to check it out.

I just talked to the owner of the Silver T2. The car is in storage, has been for many years. Is still in excellent condition. Thanks to some detective work by 02Z06, I got a lead and followed it up. He also confirmed the existence of the Canyon Red car. He had seen it. He is the second owner. He is going to send me some color pictures. I will post them when I receive them.

If you can get the VC Label and Buck Tag info (images of each would be better), how it is optioned, and the mileage, I can update the database.

I will check and see if he will be willing to provide those. He was not willing to let me come see the car, as he said only 4 people know where the car actually is, and he wants it to stay that way. I am sure I can get him to tell me the options though. Seems he had been in touch with Terry Fritts of the Twister registry many years ago. But was not aware Terry had passed away.

I'm excited to hear that the car is well cared for, and in good hands. Sad that I won't be owning it though. Time to find the Canyon Red T2...

Owner confirmed picture posted in this thread is his car. It was taken for a book that was published several years ago. Trying to locate a copy of the book.

    Seems a little over-secretive IMHO. I realize it's rare but it's not overly-desired yet...
