I have that same wheel/tire combo on my 85 GT vert...well, except the fronts are 225/55/16's. That being said, you may find the 245/50/16's might possibly rub on the fronts...hopefully others will chime in that are running them.

I'm running that exact wheel and tire setup on my 83, with B springs, with no mods. I have heard you may need to flip or remove the kicker shocks in the rear. I can't attest to that, as my car does not have quad shocks.

I have no issues with the quad shocks.

OK I got the tires and rims . Went on and no problem just a little rub and I mean little if you turn the wheels all the way and then just a little lol. Here is a pic of the wheels on my car. I know the car is rough shape for now, little at a time .Name: pony wheels 2.jpg

Nice pick up! I drove a car that looked just like that back in the late 80s around the Norfolk vabeach area back during my days in the service,
Some of the most fun I've had driving these cars
