Default can any decode my trans tag ADDED ANOTHER ONE

I have an 83 GT Mustang with a T-5 I am purchasing this tranny. Guys says 30,000 miles, no way to tell. But he did give me the tag. Can anyone confirm if this is a fit. Told me it came out of a late 80's Mustang.

    The tag reads

    F4ZR-7003- AC REP BB D1742
    13 52 238 254445

the part # from the tag 'F4ZR..." suggests it is from a 1994 Mustang.

The SN 95 T5's were different from the Fox T5s due to a longer input shaft..this also requires a different Bell housing.

You can still use it if you change the input shaft, and the bearing retainer, make sure you set your endplay .ooo. Or you will have a mess. Some like to pre load a little bit.

The tranny that came out of your car is a non WC unit and the WC units started to go into the Mustangs in '85; then in '90 they got even stronger parts. I don't recall the ratings on them but it will probably be stronger than what you had...now if you had the SROD in there, no comparison! Keep in mind to that the gear ratios will vary somewhat...the non WC units had a 2:95 first gear while the WC units came with a 3:35 gear.

    Ford number: F2ZR-7003-AA
    Borg Warner number: 13-52-209

I have the bell housing and clutch available for this one, just trying to see if anyone can determine if it will fit my 83 with as a direct swap?
