Ok so around 6,000 where produced, but....

What makes anything RARE???

Easy how many are left

From the photo's I have seen and how few people even know they exist something tells me most have been wrecked, rusted away, and scrapped (the last 4 years have been really bad in my area.)

So next time your at a car show or walmart with one around see how many people stop and look at it and go wow I have never seen a coupe with t-tops.

If I'm wrong I won't be in another 10 years when the last few lawn onaments rust away.

Also out of the last 1,400 Cars for Sale on this site only 3 where t-top coupes so 1 out of approximatly 500

Ebay no results

Out of the 2,550 cars for sale on Corral.net 16 where T-top Coupes. so 1 out of 160

Overall it is way easier to find a SVO or Saleen. Looking at how many people are looking for a T-top Coupe compared to a SVO or Saleen it is apparantly a more rare car.

So, question. 624 notches are L/LX... but of the 13,084 none are L's? Is this a typo, or...? Because I have a L hatchback t-top.

Kind of upsetting to know that so many were made, yet are hard to find. It really does make you wonder.

We had the research done by body code only. To have it done by engine code as well would have significantly increased the research cost.

The factory literature says the T-roof option was dropped for the coupe body after the '84 model year and the research data proves this out. The literature also says the T-roof option was not available on the SVO, and all that have been found to date do not have the D/TR/H codes on their respective vc label/buck tag/broadcast sheet, so I would assume with confidence that the literature is correct in that respect as well.

so i have 2 81 ghia coupes. 2nd least rarest, yuk. well their getting parted out now. not rare at all.
anyhow these cars must have really been hated to have so few pop up compared to the high numbers available? most were crushed i bet. how sad.
so now what? traggic. oh well at least i have a plan and i am sticking to it. the 4.2 car will be sold to someone who wants to restore it. that should be impossible to find ? i would bet it turns out to be a fairly rare car? appears to have original drivetrain intact. there is only one way i would be happy with the 255 car and that is turboed 255 just to be strange. and the 6 cyl car is going to be, well lets just say custom.

my son just bought a 81 black magic all there ex motor and trans was a v8 car has t tops even has the bags for them and cargo cover . what are they worth now ??? my other one is a 83 rs was a v8 stick car white with blue int air power brakes power steering , has the hole in the hood under the scoop my sons has the same hood but no hole the hole was factory stamped on mine. I want to find out how many were made white with the blue int and blue rs badges now for the mustang its a 81 coupe with t tops power every thing ex mirrors has a inline six with auto, 56,890 miles I have only seen 3 of these 2 were in junk yards. would like to find how many were made like this .
