    Default Springs

I'm in the market for some lowering springs for my 84 SVO. What is everyone running here, i know i can run v8 or 4 banger springs, I'm just not sure what to go with. I've been craigslisting it, and I've seen some H&R, Eibachs, and BBKs all for around like 100 bucks. But I'm just not sure which ones will benefit me the most. Any help appreciated, i used the search but didn't find anything SVO specific.

SVO front springs are specific to the SVO due to the front lower control arm spring pocket being deeper than a non SVO Mustang.

A couple of guys here have had this exact issue as of recent.

I would recommend talking to Maximum Motorsports, the guys there are great and can give you a ton of information and help.

You can also talk to Eibach and what they offer.

Good Luck and welcom to FEP!

The front springs on my 79 pacecar were the same as the ones on the front of my 84 svo. I did mine cheap though.... I just cut mine, and after that I will never buy a set of lowing springs. Has a great ride, lower and handles a bunch better. Just me .02

I just went through all this with mine...I purchased the Eibach Pro kit (4cyl & 6cyl specific) and the fronts were too low for my liking...the rears were perfect.

Eibach ended up sending me Pro Kit V8 fronts and it's now just the way I want it...As mentioned the SVO front control arms are different than everything else and have a lower spring pocket...

So, make sure to get V8 specific stuff unless you want something real low. I have the old Eibach's in my basement if your interested...

(no pics yet cause the car is dirty!)

I'll look into those fms springs. I've heard of alot of Svo owners running those.

And yes can you post pics up please?!?! Just got paid today so I'm going to be scavenging craigslist pretty consistently for the next couple days.
