OK, I got confused on the point, counter-point we had going on up there. We're saying the same thing.....tu-tone was optional, not standard.

this is awesome news! I hope as many people as possible pick these reports up. It's a great way to really tell what your car once was or is.

Thanks FoxChassis & Bwguardian for Clarifying the info on the GT! Back in 1992, When I was in Vegas, The Place I bought my Mach at had a 69 Mustang GT Shell! At the time I though it was to Expensive! Wish I had Access to the Marti Report or Eminger Invoice back then! Did not think to check the Buck tag to Verify it's status!

Fox, just FWI...this Rapid Spec Order Form is dated 7-24-84. I have some additional paper work from the Executives at Ford that clarified some issues with ordering and delays...probably had to do with the strikes back then.
Glad we could help...that is the great thing about this site!

The "Rapid-Spec Ordering Guide" that I have seen is dated 5-11-84. You should scan the one you have and upload it to the library here for all to see. I'd be interested in seeing what differences there are between the two.

I went into the Library for the first time...kewl stuff in there no doubt, but I did not see a Rapid Spec Ordering Guide as dated 5-11-84. The one I have may have only gone to the Ford empoyees given there is an additional letter from the Execs that talks about vehicle availablility and ordering information being ordered in August and December for them.

There is no Rapid-Spec Guide posted here. I have seen it over at the GT registry.
Fox, I went over there and looked in the Literature & Manuals under Links and did not see anything. Can you point me in the right direction of where that one can be found over there?

Alright, I got the Marti Report for my 1984 GT today. These things are cool!

I requested my Eminger Invoice awhile back and it was not found. Does this mean they would have no means of doing a Deluxe Marti Report for my car?
The "Deluxe Report" is a different document from the "Emminger Invoices", all is explained at Marti Auto.
Got the "Deluxe Report" for my 84 "dealer installed T-Top" SVO today. It confirmed many details I already new about the car, 1E, MA, DSO 72 etc., but also tells me where it was originally sold, Sunnyvale Ford- Sunnyvale, CA, that it was a stock order. It also lists the following:
"Important Dates"
ORDER RECEIVED: 10/03/83
CAR SERIALIZED: 10/31/83
BUCKED: 11/23/83
SCHEDULED FOR BUILD: 11/21/83
ACTUALLY BUILT: 11/30/83
RELEASED: 12/01/83
SOLD: 09/11/84
It's pretty neat to me that it was ordered for stock but took over 11 months to sell. May explain the t-tops and the white paint!?!?!?!

Just got mine Emailed today!
Well the Date Actually Built is April 2nd 1982, Same date as the Eminger Invoice stamp and the 3rd Generation News & Beyond Report! However the total of P16 Mustang 3 Door Sedan in Black (1C) with the Medium Red Vinyl Bucket seats (CD) was off compared to my 3rd Gen report. Will have to order the Personalized Report later from Kevin to get my Paint/Trim Mustang GT Numbers.

Hrm... I shot an e-mail in, but I guess asking here can't hurt:
Any rumor as to when the Elites may be available? I've got two 83s who could use 'em.
1983 GT (white/black) 185k, Dec 07
1983 TurboGT (white/black) ~200k, Aug 09
1984 non-GT "mechanic", way too many miles.

Now break those numbers down for those GT CVT that have the 165 HP & 180HP CFI H.O. Motor and 5.0 H.O. 4V/5 Speeds, And those Five Speed GT's have two different axle ratios! It might be a bit less! The Skys the Limit with the Marti Elite Reports :-)
It's Nice that I have two Buckeye Specials that defected to the North!

That 278 number for 2A/PA is for ALL convertibles, not just GT convertibles, correct?
