Default Open House at F40 Motorsports

I got this off the F40 Motorsports website. Wayne Carini & Co. are holding an open house on Saturday, May 7. The long-range weather forecast, both locally and the Weather Channel, looks good. How about meeting in Cabela's parking lot in East Hartford (exit 58 off I-84) at 9:00 and convoying down Routes 2 and 17 to F40 in Portland? Maybe we can hit Five Guys in Middletown after for burgers.

    Spring Open House
    at F40 Motorsports
    Starts on May 7, 2011 at 10:00AM
    Ends on May 7, 2011 at 4:00PM
F40 Motorsports has a Spring annual open house to kick off the car season as the nice weather starts to come. It is held at our Shop at 464 Portland-Cobalt RD. (route 66) Portland, CT 06480. All are welcome, and show cars do not need to sign up or register. It is a first come first "park" basis for the show cars but the doors do not open until 9:30am. The rest of the parking is located across the street from our shop or on the side of the road. Food will be here for lunch so bring a little cash. Wayne and the Chasing Classic Cars crew will also be here filming and Wayne will be available to meet. This date is subject to change due to weather and busy schedules. For additional information please call or email Mike Roberts mike@f40.com or (860) 342-5705.

I wish I could go but I can't. I went there last year with my friend Brian (SVT1 on this site) and we had a great time. I'm sure I'll be back there again.

Yeah, me and Hissing Cobra went last year in my Z06. There were a bunch of Corvette guys there. It was my first real intro into the Corvette-side. Needless to say I have another Mustang now! lol.

No seriously, if I wasn't working Saturday I'd love to go. Gonna have to take a rain check on this one. This is a great destination for a cruise though. Good roads, and F40 is a cool place. Plus Wayne is a really cool guy to talk cars with as well. One year I even saw ole Herb Chambers there.

I would like to do that someday. I'm glad they are filming another season. I was getting worried since there hasn't been a new episode in a couple months.

This whole discussion is academic. The weather forecast for Saturday is off-and-rain with thunderboomers and hail. Let's try again next month and hope we get better weather next week for the show at Mustangs Unlimited in Manchester.

Went to F40 yesterday for the open house and got to South Glastonbury before I realized I forgot my camera. Very good turnout, lots of neat cars. Wayne was there but I didn't get the chance to talk with him.

Saw a great sign on the windshield of a Ferrari:

Wife says it's her or the car
    5' 1" brunette
    College educated
    Italian descent
    Loves shoes, hates Ferraris
    Has her own credit cars
