i dont think there is such a thing as a SSP LTD LX. there's no need if there's a SSP LTD. i think someone slapped on some police interceptor badges and that pursuit sticker to make it look like it was

well after looking the car over real well it is just a lx not a ssp but thats ok with me. it runs good and drives ok. need to replace the inner tie rods and drivers seat. but other than that its good to go.started to buff it up today and will finish it this weekend and put some picks up.

wonder if any municipalities bought LXs instead of SSPs? Wonder how much of a price difference there would have been at the time?

The second LTD LX I ever saw in person after my own was a car for the "Retired Volunteer Senior Patrol" division of the San Diego Police Department. It was all white but had all the logos/wording on the side and an amber light bar. I saw it in the junkyard a few years ago. It didn't look like it was used for active police duty, but I have to wonder why the police department would buy a fully loaded car.

Maybe they got a comparable deal on it (LX vs SSP) because it was unsold dealer stock...

"We can order you an SSP and it'll be here in 4 weeks or we do have this LX that has pretty much the same stuff for another $500..."

No such animal as an LTD LX SSP. It's one or the other (LX or SSP), not both.
