    Default 88 GT

Just picked this up last week....

It was a friend of mines car, he bought it in 1991 with 16K miles....It has 128K Now.

Lots of susp mods and his custom made subframe connectors....Verys strong, alot better than the crap you buy from the magazines....

Some engine mods....Runs awsome and gets good MPG...24-26 driving it easy...

I like it....i will get a 4 eyes soon, but couldnt pass this up...

i must say...the aero's are really starting to appeal to me again. I had an 87 GT ragtop and didn't care a whole lot for it when I owned it. At the time, I thought it was just a little too big with all of the ground effects, vents, spoilers, etc. recently...I think the GT coupes looks great in the right colors. I would love to get into a 93 Cobra...but, then the craziness would happen to me all over again....I really need to stay focused on inexpensive and very useable cars....no more garage queens...

    Nice looking GT!

Good score! I picked up 91 GT late last year, not quite as nice as yours, but I plan on enjoying the heck out of it at the track very soon!

sorry...I should say the personal craziness and anguish of having expensive and often non-usuable collector cars....

Do what I do, buy the beat up, left for dead cars and build what you want.

Then you can enjoy the old 4 Eyes without worrying about destroying some high dollar collectable!

I wouldn't mind a coupe of high dollar collectables, but that would take more money than I can hide from the wife right now!

Yup, garage queens can be a pain sometimes, lol. Glad I got my '86 so I have a car to play with.

I would love to have your garage queen, but, the overwhelming guilt of having something so nice and not wanting to really use it would kill me. I would love to have a DD 93 cobra, but, those cars are too valuable now to use up. I miss the boat...again...I bet it's nice to be enjoying the 86 as a DD. I know I sure enjoy my little LX 5.0!

Yeah, if it wasn't still cold and I had a new heater core it would be nice, lol.
Most of the time we just drive the ol lady's '02 GT. It's nice and comfy with heat.
