Nope, I've made wide tires work on 5 fox body cars so far, nothing a hammer can't take care of anyway.

    Hopefully before then

I and my youngest son painted the underside of the hood, wheels and engine bay today. I'd used rattle can on the wheels, but I didn't like the way it turned out so I bought a quart of paint, thinner, and other stuff and did it myself. Used the rest of the paint to spray some of the underside of the car. I had powerwashed the bottom once I got the engine, transmission and exhaust out of the way. Tomorrow night I'll work on the interior some and putting the stuff back in the engine bay.
The weekend will allow me to get the UMI upper control arms in it, and perhaps start on the wiring.

Looking good, David! Should be quite the beast when you're done.

I'm stoked to finally have my LTD driveable again after the blown head gasket and then swapping K-members which ended up taking forever. Looking forward to taking it on a spirited drive on Sunday.

That's cool, should be like a different car for you. I'm looking forward to hearing how it works.
I got the UMI uppers in the rear, put all of the stuff back in the engine compartment I had taken off to paint in there, mounted the shift light module, fan controller and almost wrapped up mounting the ignition box.

Still here, I put them on my 90LX a couple times to go to the track, other then that they're in the garage sitting.

No, I don't recall the name of the wheel off the top of my head, but they're not Saleen or Stern. If you want to know I can check and let you know the real deal?

Guess so, I bought them used several years ago, intend to use them on my 88GT, someday.

Ordered a converter from dirty dog and an optishift from Baumann today.

After a couple of weeks of not doing much with this I got the Baumann Shift calibration kit in the 4R today, front inner fender liners in, carpet laid back part only, and back seat in. Still have the carpet rolled up in the back because I have to cut a hole in the transmission tunnel ( i think) to run the harness for the Baumann controller. I also got the cable extension made for the e-brake cable. I'm going load a tune into the optishift tonight after I load the software and play with that for a bit.

Don't know, nowhere near ready to set it on the ground. Hopefully not though, I've got a hammer if it does, although dependent upon ride height the outer part of the inner fender curves in pretty good. I cut a half coil out of the stock springs, I can either get new springs, or see how H+R race springs look back there once I get it on the ground.

I want the silver ones with the polished lip, get that thing on the ground already so we can find out of those rub,and what that thing can do on the street YOu pretty much have the same idea I have for mine as far as what your doing with it. Mine will probably need coilovers on it though, I plan to go pretty low with it at least in the front. Gotta love a good road race setup restomod car. Now I cant decide if I want to stick with my beloved 16" enkei 92's or get these. I guess what you find when you set it down will determine that.

I'm anxious to get it on the ground too, right now I'm just waiting for the converter so I can put the trans on the motor before I put it in. Once that's in I'll set it on my blocks so I can check the pinion angle and cross measurements to make sure front crossmember is in straight. I'll get pics then as it'll be up in the air I can shoot pics of the inside of the wheels wells to show clearance, or lack of.
I was looking at doing coil overs in the front as well, once I sell my mustang anyway.

Not really, I'm pulling the heads off, I found out I did something wrong on the short turn when porting, I tried to err on the side of caution. I need to make that part of the port taller. I also gave my son the BBK shorties to put on his car, and I got a set of used MAC equal length shorties to use on the LTD.

Let's hope you have better luck with the Mac shorties than I did. Flanged warped and I was unable to reinstall them.

Did you open the collectors on yours before installing? I measured them and they were 2", so I opened them to 2 1/2" and beveled the individual flanges as they cover some of the exhaust port.
One thing as far as installing that is in my favor is the engine will be on the stand, not in the car.
