I filled this thing up with gas and then went over by the moving company to weigh it, 3730 pounds, with me in it, the spare tire and jack in the trunk too. I thought it would be in the neighborhood of 3550 or so with me in it.

Years ago when I first got my Mach 1 I had it weighed. Right at 3500 lbs. That was with the C-6 before I installed the toploader, still had the cast iron 2V intake, cast iron water pump and cast iron manifolds, and air conditioning. Figure I at least lost 150lbs with all my mods/changes over the years. They were supposed to be the heaviest but not by todays new car standards.

I'm going to the track today, weather is supposed to be better than the last time, maybe 10 degrees cooler and a bit less humid. I put on the bullet wheels from my LX that is in the garage, I think they look a little better than the Mach1 wheels. The point in putting these on is that the bullet wheels weigh a couple pounds less than the CVI wheels and 225/55vr16's I normally run on there.
Also put in some new NGK plugs, I ground the electrode back a little to see if that would help it out some. Hoping with some tuning and better air I can get an 8.0 or possibly if I got my lucky underwear on a 7.99.

Track was a waste of time, there was no prep done, couldn't hook for dick, aired the drag radials down to 18 and still couldn't get it. My son with his stock 94GT, and my slicks couldn't even hook. There was no event the day before, so they didn't put anything down. I did manage a best MPH of 85.8, I think it was an 8.4 with a 2.1 60ft. If i'd have gotten a 1.7-1.8 60 ft. like last time I'd have squeaked out a mid-high 7.9. That's the last time for the 302 in here, the 418 will be going in within the next week or so.

It was frustrating, especially since there was a guy there with a new camaro SS, with a blower, running 8.teens @90, never lined up against him though.
Yes, I don't really care too much for the all black, on some cars it's OK, but I like a little bling; especially on something like this that is supposed to be a docile family car.
I've got some other vids I can put up from this last Sunday, but all you'll see is it spinning off the line.

I've got a pretty solid buyer for the 418.....just have to make up my mind if I want to sell it and just build a 410-420HP 306 for this car instead.
I thought I'd have the 418 in there by now but run into some issues getting my 90LX together and been working at the remote range lately so been putting in more hours there.

HAHA!! Yeah I know, I'd like to do the 418 deal, but it makes too much sense to get rid of it and build a 306 that I've been thinking about lately for the LTD. I can run high 6's with the 418, or run low-mid 7's with a 306....
