The door moulding bits are different, you would have to splice the bottoms of the fenders, i BELIEVE the upper body line (peaked body line going all the way down the car)is lower on the LTD/Fairmonts than it is on the mustang as well...

well darn, if the body lines on the fenders lined up and all I had to do was splice the fenders at the trim line, that would be no problem, even if all the mounting holes and such dont line up, a grinder and some other tools is all you really need to modify or make custom brackets, i could definitely handle it. if hte body lines are different on the fenders though, thats something I cant fix myself.
I guess some cars its easy some it isnt, I know an escalade clip will bolt right up to a chevy pickup and line up perfectly. but I know the 88-94 4 door tempos had an extra body line down the side that the 2 door cars didnt, for only that reason the fenders are not interchangeable, it will bolt up, but will look terrible.

Welcome! Nice lookin' wagon!
I'd like to get my hands on a cowl hood myself.

Thank you! My hood is just a stocker with the scoop fiberglassed on.
A couple nice wagons there!! I'm getting mine out tomorrow, its been in storage pretty much since I bought it.
I'm in the process of tuning mine up for this year. It's almost done. Top pick is the car from last year, no new exterior pics but it looks the same except the draglites are polished and the scoop is a little bigger. Second pic is the new setup.

Those are some sexy wagons, boys. Going to start tooling on mine as soon as the other Mustang is out of the way.
I haven't fit the parts to see for myself but I've read/been told that the line between the front of the door and the back of the fender is different, so you need at least that much of the wagon fender. You can use the rubber pieces to cover up how different that lower body line is. I was planning on just using the front segment of the Mustang fender so that the wheel arches match front-to-rear.
I also heard/read that the Mustang hood is shorter, and the Mustang cowl panel is longer. I cut a cowl panel off a dead Mustang, but my plan is to graft the back section of the original hood on the the back of the Mustang hood.
Those are the biggest hurdles that I know of. They're well above my skill set, but I have someone that can help. Given the trouble this replacement '84 bumper cover is giving me, I might just stick with the original LTD nose at this point.

I wouldn't mind setting up a cruise day. I'm going to start breaking my wagon down for the rebuild. Gotta get up to Michigan and pick up my 351w block from my dad's place.
Well, my 3.3 is still hangin' in there, but one of my hubcaps didn't, so I went from this...
...to this...
I need my 10-holes!!!!!!

dude!! You know it's wrong to expose yourself like that. You can't just drive down the road with your nuts exposed, what if some old lady calls the cops!!
Seriously, go find yourself some dig-dish caps, I think they look better anyway.
