1982 Mercury Capri 5.0 First Car
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I'd just like to say that I absolutely love my four-eye Merc! It needs some work, but it runs strong even with it being 30 years old and having ?98k miles. I know I'll be on here quite a bit so I thought I'd just start by posting a few pics
It looks way better in the pictures than in person. Still, I am glad to own a four-eye 5.0!

Thanks everyone haha. @1nine84GT, It's in pretty rough shape and I plan on doing an aero swap (JK!) haha. My real plans are actually to, over the years, restore it to new condition and perform a few performance upgrades on it. I just love the way the front clip looks so intimidating on the Capri, and since it is a first car, I plan on keeping it for a long time. I just wish more people knew about these things.

You just bought this one out of west sac right? I've been eyeing it all month but was gone about a week ago. Even the CL add pictures made the car look pretty solid. If you get some new rims it should be good to go.

So, just took it to get it smogged and the timing was a bit off. Because of that, it failed. Took it to a shop and am going to get it back tomorrow (needed a tune up) and tomorrow I'm going to register it in my name. Everything's looking good for now!

WOw, thats a very sharp Capri you have there!! Don't be worried about the little things as it's an older car and thats the fun of owning it and making it all yours!!! Keep us posted on the progress and enjoy owning something unique!!!!
