I assume you mean the housings, etc? I believe so....

but it's spelled Marchal, maybe you've got amplifiers on the brain as I know you're into music too.

Wasn't there a difference in the lenses....some had a metal cat emblem on the outside (which magically disappeared over time) and some were painted on from the inside?

Our own Marchal god Jeff (Capriman) needs to chime in :-)

And I prefer the Peavey Triple XXX to the over priced Marshall ;-)

Going by what I remember right now.....

Early lights were Made In France, then it appears they were Made in Belgium for balance of the years.

I am not sure when the change happened or if our cars ever received the Belgium ones from new.

    Rear housings
    France: Text stamping on them
    Belgium: Plain backs

Back and inside of a Belgium, back on this one I sand blasted.

    Backside of a France one.

    Glass
France: Had the metal Marchal cat glued to the outside
Belgium: Deleted the metal cat but painted the cat on the inside of the glass

This is a Belgium glass with it painted on the inside.

    Wiring Pigtail
France/ Belguim: Doesn't seem to have really changed except for the insulator on the wires changed material. This is inside the casing where the wires split apart.

    Reflector
France: The backside was more yellow/gold in color
Belgium: The backside is more red, also ink stamping is different, and I believe says Belgium.

    Bulb Holder
France: Made of a more brittle ceramic material prone to cracking.
Belgium: Made of a more rigid composite material that is much stronger and durable.

    This is the better holder

    Bulbs: Same H2 bulb

yeah there are two different types. But parts can be interchanged with each.

The cat head emblem thing is one, the reflector and the bulb holder. One set was made in France the other in Belgium.

I think Capriman has a thread here somewhere with detailed pics showing the different styles.

umm,, forget what i just wrote Capriman already answered before i could post.

Note also the difference between 750 and 759 ... same size but while 750 are fog lights, 759 are driving lights (using a different glass). Some housings wear both references, some only one.

Not sure as it may have been changed by a previous owner, but one set of 750s i had was stamped "Fabriqué en France" (not translated and unfortunatly discarded because of too much rust ... but saved the glasses) and came with composite holders instead of ceramic.

That's true on the 750/759 but none of the mustangs/capri's came with the 759 version.
I do like the 759 lenses a big more though.

This, my friend, is the $64,000 question. I need some too. All the ones I have ever bought, through here or Ebay, have had the crappy ceramic holders. My experience is that the metal contacts lose their 'springiness' and curl away from the bulb, leaving me with an inoperative lamp.

Depends on how much you want to pay.

The are not reproduced, if they are, I have not found a source.

You can find them on eBay from time to time, here are some in the UK but they are $31 a pair plus shipping.

Did you just look at the website or did you contact Daniel Stern directly and ask if he had them?

The bulbs I have (maybe 6 laying around) It's the bulb socket I was looking for and Gadget posted up:

    http://danielsternlighting.com/

21.00 / pair for the sockets. Pricey but well worth knowing that they're REAL Marchal parts.

I "thought" I contacted him directly long ago, but I could be wrong, and it appears that might a good lead.
