SN95 parts on a foureye

I got a call from my uncle last night, he's taking an SN95 to the crusher this weekend. It's a 3.8 but not sure what year and what's wrong with it. I have access to take whatever I need off the car, for sure I'll be taking the rear end off and te spindles. What else do you all know of that can be used as an upgrade to a foxbody.

The rear end is a 7.5", so the only items worth using are the brakes and axles.

Depending on what year it is will determine how many parts are of value to a Fox chassis.

A Fox Chassis stated the rear end is a 7.5 so it will bolt into a Fox, but not worth the swap if you already have a 8.8. All of the brakes, axles, etc. can be swapped to your 8.8.

A 3.8 manual is most likely a T5 transmission. Again not what you want behind a 5.0, but they can be used with other engines with some modifications.

The spindles and front brakes are a great addition to a Fox, but remember you should not use 96+ spindles on a Fox without an aftermarket K member. It will cause severe bumpsteer that is almost impossible to correct.

Id get whatever is in good shape, interior, exterior, ect. Should be able to unload most of the stuff and make some 4I modding money

if it was up to me I'd take the car home and part it there, but I already have a full driveway. I guess I'll take whatever fits in my Cherokee and get some funds for my 85 from that. so far on the list are

I beleive the 3.8 T5 trans has the same gear ratios and torque ratings as the 86-89 WC 5.0 T5's. All that is needed is to change the input shaft to a fox body shaft!

Front seats will also bolt into a fox body. And if they are power, it will be an aded bonus. The power seat tracks can even be adapted to your fox seats.

edit: be sure to get as much of the harness as possible.

Yank the airbags, and all the parts that go with them. You can get at least a little coin for those I would think.

Im not sure but I believe the control arms are wider and have better geometry as well. Might want to look in that. Heck the k member might be worthy. Im not sure if it will bolt into our year models though.

The MC is too big at 1-1/16" and the SN95 prop valve will not correctly bias a Fox Chassis. If changing to rear disc brakes on a drum brake equipped car it is best to install you own prop valve and fine tune it.

The longer sn95 a-arms widen the Fox chassis front track (not wheelbase) about 2.5" over stock. When used with the narrower pick-up k-member on 86 and earlier cars, this is a pretty good upgrade combined with sn95 spindles resulting in regained negative camber and a much better camber curve with minimal fender clearance issues; when used with the wider pick-up k-member found on later Fox chassis v8 cars, fender clearance issues are pretty severe.

bad news

this is what the car looked like










and it was such a tight fit in the trailer to remove the spindles and brakes. I thought I would at least be able to salvage some parts but all the good stuff was gone.
