    Welcome!

I was watching that one on craigslist myself, but I don't need any more project cars at this time.

If you ever need to check out my Pace Car to aid in assembling yours, I'm not too far away.

You might check you ignition switch on the column. Sounds like you might have a short or broken terminal there.

I replaced the ignition switch on my Pace car and when I did it literally fell off the column in pieces.

    Best of Luck!

A little late to the party I see, but I wanted to say great find and buy. Can't wait to see the progress. There are several Pace Car builds here and some amazing work /advice. I go here before I go to my local friends for advice. Enjoy the site and welcome. JY

Since it is a Festival Car, you have to find out the history of it. Who drove it during the festival, etc.

When I worked at a Napa auto parts 20 years ago one salesman said any sticker can be reproduced. I got the interior minus front seats out of Pace car 480054. It was 302 automatic. When I last saw it, it was a repairable bare shell that had rolled on one side. I was offered it for $100 and it passed on it. It ended up going to a scrap yard around 1990-1991. It wasn't until about 1994 I saw an article on a 500 Festival car that I thought that 480054 was a 500 Festival car. Look at the back side of the interior rear view mirror. Is there a simple 2 digit sticker on it? I think all 500 Festival cars were 302 automatic. The interior from 480054 went to Omaha Nebraska with the buyer of my first 302 4 speed Pace car 9f03f480544. The people who bought it already had 6 79 Pace Cars. My 2nd Pace car 302 automatic 487131 went to Wisconsin.
