Looking back at the pics at the very beginning, I can see now what you mean.Looking past the ratty vinyl, it does look like a 'vert top. I was wondering why your factory lead joints at the roof line weren't finished. I never knew it was a fiberglass shell that fitted over the roof. Thanks for the insight.

    No problem!

    Now that you mentioned "ratty"

Found this guy living in the headliner!

I could not bring my self to kill him even though he destroyed my headliner so I let him go outside.

That is not a stupid question at all! Heck I always thought they were convertibles until I took a closer look. That is why we belong to FEP

I am mainly trying to clean up the car without doing a whole bunch of work. Eventually that motor will blow and I will pull it, then I will fill all the holes and smooth everything out and repaint it. Thanks!

Got to play with this some today. Found a guy on craigslist selling some parts for a 83 So I went and talked to him and ended up buying a Hood, 2 fenders, Front bumper cover, headlight bracket, and back bumper cover for $60 and he threw in a box of trim parts.
Bumper covers are perfect. Hood is straight along with the fenders.

Front cover is not bolted down completely in the pictures. Had to go eat so the gf said I had to shower.

Starting to look like a car again.

    Before:

    After:

    All my craigslist parts:

There was a blow up kids pool laying on the back of the car when I picked it up, I think that did alot of the damage.

Confused why you got another 83 bumper when you already had another 83 bumper on there?

That is great progress so far. I used to not even look at cars that rough but I see there is hope for most any of them.

    Nice job

Nice work! Getting me excited to really tear into my Durango. I've got a little (ok a LOT) of work to do on it but those clean inner fenders and underhood pics have me inspired.

Did someone mention A/C brackets? I'm converting to 5.0 EFI so these brackets are of no use to me (original 200 is blown and apart). PM me if you still need some.

At the price he paid, I would have bought it too, whether I needed it or not.
