Cool Finally back in a 82 GT

Picked it up yesterday afternoon. My first time towing a car and it was pretty cool. Got the U-Haul trailer and worked out great. Car is very clean in and out. Motor is a rebuild from back in 1997 but not to my liking. Appears to be a mid 70's motor with Edelbrock intake a Holley 4-barrel carb. It will be getting some work done to it or possibly changing it for a 87'-93' EFI motor. Has a T5 tranny, 8.8 rearend with 3.73 gears, dual exhaust, rear louvers, and the classic turbine rims...I've got a set of mesh rims lined up. Will be attending more shows and events this year. Enjoy the pics. I'll post more as I get into it...First is getting new oil and filter in.

BEAUTIFUL! I do love an '82 GT and you picked one in great shape.

One thing, though...those louvers should go - you really need to sell them to me.

Congratulations on finally finding the car you wanted!

A very nice looking car. No Recaros by the look; that would have made it sweeter! I look forward to seeing what you are going to do. Kewl licence plate BTW!

Thanks guys! It was great to get out this Saturday to a car show and see many old Mustang friends. Driving this 82 put a big smile on my face! I forgot how much these car ride like a go-kart compared to my 2012 F-150. Car rides pretty good on the highway and I put about 100 miles on it. Fresh oil change and a new tank of Shell 91 gas.

After taking this for a test drive, I really like the sunroof option. Less noise, less rattles, easier to remove, can open and close it while driving, etc. The car is very clean and rust free. Has not seen rain or snow in the past 12 years. Picked it up in Port Colborne. We'll have to do another photoshoot with your 86'. Hope to see you at the big show at the Ford plant on July 26 - 27. I'll be the DJ on Saturday.

I might go to the show on the Sunday with my coupe... all depends on the weather and if I'm working that day.
