Default 85 2.3 ranger fuel pump not getting power

hay guys i need alittle bit of help here. its not a mustang but i thought you guys might have some ideas. the other day i changed the o2 sensor, fixed the exhaust and it started running funny. i got to the parts store and shut it off. got back out it would start and only run for a few seconds. did it again and pressed the gas. it would cut out , i let off it would run. i called my buddy he brought some tools. he checked power no power. like a idiot i changed the pump. out $100 but new pump. so next i checked the fuel pump switch. i jumped it not it. i checked the relay, it had water in it so i replaced it. still is not it. could it have burn up a fuseable link someplace?

    thanks for your guy's help...

Does an '85 Ranger have an inertia switch. If so, that could have tripped and cut the power.
