    Default Another New Guy

    Hello all,

I picked up an '85 Mustang GT the other a couple of weeks ago. It is a total project for me. My plans are a .351 based .408, TKO 600, 8.8, tubular front, manual steering conversion, etc.

I wanted a Fox Body since I was in high school and my friends, who came from more well to do families had them.

I grew up around cars. My Father and I have built a few hot rods over the years. My two favorites being an Edsel E475 powered model A, and a '52 GMC truck. These are my two favorites due to the fact that they are the two that we built from the ground up.

Anyway, I'll be checking in here, as well as a couple other Mustang forums, looking to learn as much as I can about this particular medium.

Here's a link to my Photobucket if you'd like to see the car:

Looks like a fun project. Good luck with it. Nice color. Keep us posted on the progress.

Welcome, you picked a great car to start with. I think the 85 is the nicest year.

Thanks guys. I live in NJ. The car is in my Dad's garage in NH. It's going to be a slow project for a while due to the distance... I was laid off for awhile, so went back to school at 31. I need to finish with that before I really dig into the car. For now I'll just tinker on it when i go up to visit the folks.

I found it on Ebay though, so that may be why it looks familiar.

I was thinking I had seen it on Craigslist here in Iowa or Minnesota. Anyway, good luck with the schooling and future build.
