    Default 1980 Door Locks

    Hey Guys.

I have a 1980 Mustang and I am trying to find out where I can get the door locks for it. When I bought it the guy did not have the keys for the doors.

    Also, trunk locks.
Is there any difference in a trunk lock from a 87-93 model car?

yes, the door locks on an 80 mustang have them half way down the interior panel, all other later mustang have them on top of the door like a normal car, im not sure where to find locks but i'd check www.latemodelrestoration.com and see if they have what you need, also, look out for the national parts depot catalog for fox cars thats coming out soon. ive got an 80 cobra and luckily i dont have the same problems you have but just check around and see if you find what you need.

Looking for the outside key locks. That you put a key in to unlock the doors. Not the interior locks. 50resto does not show them for a 80 model car. I was wondering if they were different because of how the lock rods are different.

Pull the lock out of your passenger door (less key use over the years) and take it to a locksmith shop. My buddy did this and got a key for $20 that fits his doors

My bad, I was thinking the LOCKS, not the HANDLES. Rookie mistake, lol.
