    Do we know if these will be done on a limited run or if they plan to keep these in the product line indefinitely?

    Sorry about the delay in responding, Jason. I do not think its a limited run. With that said, I likely wouldn't hesitate if its something you need immediately or think you need in the short term. Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

    I'll be ordering it for my Capri likely before the end of the month. I will then follow up to let you know about fitment if thats ok. Been tied up with my Explorer for a while.

    Absolutely. Its great to finally get these cars recognized to a point where vendors are making stuff for our cars! And even better when it fits and works and looks good.

    you'd be better off simply replacing it at this point. Do you know the brand of your repro dash?

    I bought one of these pads this week. I just received it today and it came with a note in the box saying not to paint the pad. I don't want to leave it black so I'm not sure what to do. I guess the only choice is to try and paint it to match and hope for the best.

    The description from CJ Pony :

    DASH PAD OE STYLE BLACK VINYL 1979-1986
    Part Number: PAD18B

    OE Style Black Vinyl Dash Pad for 1979-1986 Mustangs.

    Dash pads fade and crack over time. This is the best quality reproduction dash pad for 1979-1986 Mustangs you will find! Made from the OE style vinyl and using a new tooling, this pad is a direct replacement for your factory dash.

    *Only available in black. Can be dyed to match other interior colors.

    ++++++++++

    Kind of confusing since the description says it can be dyed but the note in the box says it should not be. I'm going to try anyway and hopefully dont waste the $220.

    I guess they mean for you to use dye instead of paint, but I could be wrong.

    Are you sure it was a dashes direct pad? It sounds like you may have an Auto Pro one. We just received 30 of the Dashes Direct black vinyl wrapped pads and they come with instructions to dye it if you choose to do so. I must say they look pretty nice, im going to take one home and try it out this week.

    It is a dashes direct pad, but did not come with that slip. I'll take a pic of the one that came in my box.
