My name is Darran and I'm from Calgary, Canada. I've owned my black '82 t-top GT since '90. She's been parked in my garage since '01 with a broken rear end. Clean, mint interior and a strong rebuilt 302 (done in '93). I have finally started to get her back in shape. Starting with the 5-lug upgrade: 8.8 with 3.73 and cobra rear disks, 95 spindles and cobra clone (mach 1 PBR) fronts. Doing other things while I am taking stuff apart (bushings, springs, water pump, timing chain, steering rack, pump and a bunch of other stuff). Good to get the mind back into everything. Glad I never once thought of selling it! The first pictures:

My name is Jim and my wife is Barb. We just bought this car on Friday. It is a 1982 GT with T-tops and pretty standard after that. It has 26,000 miles and is perfect as a 1982 can be. I bought a GT in 1982 by ordering from the factory and loaded the car......T-tops, TRX package, Leather interior, Power windows and locks and the paint protection for the bottom of the doors/ quarters and fenders. Someone hit it from behind in 1984 and it was just never the same to me again so I sold it. This is the 7th Mustang I have owned including a 2012 GT that I still have. I always said I would buy another 82 and this opportunity came up. Looking forward to summer cruising with the T-tops out and talking with the group in the future. We are late 40-s and early 50's age wise and live outside of Columbus Ohio.

Hello all, my name is Jeff, and I am 33. I am originally from South Bend, IN. I have had my 82 since 1995 or 1996. I bought it from my neighbor who bought it new in 82. He was a professional diesel mechanic, and (I'll call it) semi-pro drag racer of an 85 Mustang. It is my first car, but I must admit, when I was younger, I liked the same vintage Camero and Monte Carlo better. My dad was instrumental in getting the GT instead of a GM. He suggested I buy the GT because of who the PO was. I am so thankful I bought the car and never sold it. Being a daily driver for 17 years or so in northern Indiana, and having set for about 7 years, it is in need of a restoration. So, I have started that and hope to have it back on the road in a year or so. It is now in Arizona where I can find good metal, but I am having trouble finding good plastic. Looking at some of the earlier posts, I'm glad to see so many younger 82 fans. It's great for the survival of the cars!
