When you first started looking for a foxbody, did you want a Mustang or Capri?

I wanted a Capri cause I thought they looked cooler an not everybody had one, like the Mustangs. Couldn't find very many of them tho and what I did find were junk. Had similar trouble finding a Mustang; they were way more plentiful but usually rusty.

Had plenty of fun with my first foxbody (an 84 GT), but 6yrs later I've finally got a Capri which I hope to hold onto for a long time.

1st Car was a 80 Capri, 4cyl Sunroof. It was a repo and vandalized car. Paid $50,,, kept telling my old man I wasn't interested in a Ford, went to look at it, opened the door, the car was covered by a tarp, had no idea what it was, sat down,, the windshield was hanging down on the dash,, there was a bunch of broken glass inside,,, fell in love, been my favorite car ever since.

I've had 17 Capris, 4 on the road, and the rest parts cars.

I always think back to if I had kept them all, I would have almost every part anyone could ever need. But they were everywhere,, people gave them away,, who would have ever thought 25 years later I would still be playing around with these things and parts would be hard to come by?

    Capri all the way!!

79 is my favorite, best metal quality, 1st of so many things. It'll always be my favorite.

The Capri was my first choice when I was 18 years old. A friend had an 82 red RS and I didn't know what it was, but I knew I liked it. It kind of looked like a Mustang, but not. I ended up buying this car from him with all of the rust and problems. I drove it for two years. I sold it and used the money for a down payment on my 85 Capri and took out my first car loan. I was without a Capri for 2 months until I could find my 85. I really regretted selling the 82 until I found my 85. I couldn't bare to drive my clean 85 in the winter, so I found a badly rusted out 79 Gia Capri "The Beast" and drove that one in the winter instead. For several years I drove a Capri year round. They are great cars to drive. I've always liked the look of the rear fender flare in the driver side view mirror when driving the Capri. They just look more tough! These cars are so hard to find parts for now, but still worth owning and restoring! I'm in the process of finding parts for my 85.

Mine was when i was 16 years old and saw my brother drive a 82 Capri (White)Black Magic. When I turned the age of 18 years old I bought a 80 Capri Turbo 4 cylinder with a 4 spd. and with the turbo still worked. The Capri was white with a weird red color interior
