as stated in this thread

we are modding a 79 capri RS for Josh crimsoncat66
and He is still on the fence as to which way to go .
I would like for members to post pics of their blow through set ups ,to give him a visual on what it would look like.

this is what I have researched and come up with and what parts we already have and what we will need

E6 exhaust manifold ported -have already

SVO Head ported-have already

Ranger roller cam - need

custom intake built from a square intake from a turbocoupe modified for carb-
Have the parts but not made yet

Holley carb modified for blow through - need

volvo inner cooler - have already

inner cooler piping - need

ranger radiator - need

manual boost controller- need

3" down pipe - need

3" exhaust - need

high flow fuel pump - need

this is not a complete list of what we need ,but if anyone has any ideas please post your thoughts

we still are considering a fuel injected set up but the lack of a wiring harness , usable fuel tank , in tank fuel pump ,and ecm
are what makes me think I could do a blow through for considerably less cash ,
also I am really interested in doing a blow through set up after seeing 79TurboGhia's dyno results I believe we could hit our 300hp target for less this way,
as it is going to be a weekend cruiser and not a daily driver .

I have an efi and my friend had a blow thru. The EFI is easier to setup and more reliable. Cost more but worth it.

a few questions for you

"SVO Head ported-have already" is that a Esslinger alu. head? Just because it came out of a SVO doesnt make it a SVO head you'll be better off calling what it really is a "stock iron turbo head" that is ported

"Ranger roller cam - need" Not a very good cam on what you want to do.

read over on Turboford and maybe call Boport on a cam for your needs.

"volvo inner cooler - have already" The plastic one thats the size of a rad -if so dont put too much PSI into it.

"we still are considering a fuel injected set up but the lack of a wiring harness , usable fuel tank , in tank fuel" Look into a rail type pump and Maybe a stand alone efi like Megasquirt. I have the eMSpro ;)

good luck on the project and get over to TURBOFORD!
